It’s time for our next physiotherapy get together at our lab! This month’s event will be held on Tuesday, May 22nd from 6-8 pm at the University of Ottawa Lees campus in room E155D.

Dr. Jonathon Huber will be joining us to discuss libido. In his talk, Dr. Huber will reconceptualize the experience of low libido in both men and women to help the clinician accurately diagnose those with low sexual desire. The role of therapeutic agents will be discussed and guidance will be offered using readily available community resources.

 Jonathan Huber is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada with a specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Huber graduated with dual undergraduate degrees in Biology and Psychology from the University of Ottawa. He then received his Master’s of Science in Human Sexuality at the University of Guelph in 2002 followed by his Medical Doctorate from Queen’s University in 2006. He completed his post-graduate residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Queen’s University in 2011.

Dr. Huber currently has a clinical practice on Ottawa in general obstetrics and gynecology with a focus on female sexual function and dysfunction. His clinical and research interests include desire, arousal and genital pain disorders as well as optimal sexuality. He is President of the Canadian Sex Research Forum (www.canadiansexresearchforum.com), Canada’s largest inderdisciplinary sexological research organization. Dr. Huber is a collaborator with the University of Ottawa’s Optimal Sexuality Research Team and the Human Sexuality Research Laboratory.
